CLOTHING

Simplicity often wins.  It’s better to bring too many options than too few. The most important thing however is to bring things that you personally like and feel comfortable in.

HOW MANY CLOTHING OPTIONS SHOULD I BRING?

Bring at least three to four – more than four doesn’t hurt either. We don’t have to use all of it, but it’s better to have the option than not.

MAKEUP

It’s best to keep makeup minimal, natural and subtle. You know your face better than anyone, but the only rule of thumb is to wear makeup that you would usually wear to an audition. If you want, we can start with a more natural make-up and you can apply more as we shoot.

SLEEP & EAT

Sleep well. Get a good nights sleep before the shoot. I can reduce those dreaded bags in editing but you want to look well rested for your shots. Similarly please don’t starve yourself, it’ll do nothing but make you look like you’re about to pass out. So, eat and sleep well. Simple.

DO YOU RETOUCH?

Yes. Blemishes get removed and under-eye shadows reduced a little if necessary. I will not make you look plastic – headshots need to be an honest representation of you and recognizable as the person who walks into a casting – I try and keep it as natural as possible.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SHOOT?

I’ll upload all your images into online private gallery so you can view your headshot session at home in your own time. Also, you can send the link to your agent and friends in case you need help picking your shots.

WHEN WILL MY EDITS BE READY?

Unless I’m struck by crazy busyness, usually within 4 days after you’ve selected your retouches.

WILL I HAVE MY UNEDITED SHOTS?

Unfortunately the answer is no.

Raw photos are a solid starting point from which we build the final image. Publishing them would be a disservice to both the photographer and also you, the performer.

MAY I HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE?

Of course you can.

WHAT ABOUT TEA?

Maybe.
